Best thing to happen since High School?
Coming home to Tallmadge after 4 years in the Navy.

As with all of you I graduated from THS in 1966. I worked for my Dad's plumbing Co. for about 6 months and the joined the Navy right after my 18th Birthday. I spent the better part of 4 years at sea and made several trips to Vietnam.

After the Service I stayed in California for a while and just kind of drifted around, finally making it home in 1972. I just did odd jobs and played a lot of Music with Dale S. Tom H. and who ever else came around.

Winter of that year I made a cross-country trip with Dave Michael and his girlfriend. Went up and down the California coast and ended up in San Diego where I married my first wife. We went back to Tallmadge, I started work for Toledo Scale and we bout an old house on Washburn Rd.

After that I went to work for General Tire as an instrument technician. They closed the plant in 1981 as I was finishing electronics school. I got a job with Kent State in 1982 as an Electronics Tech and was there when the first IBM PC was introduced. It's been a roll ever since. 20 years.

I still play music with the guys but not as much as we used to.

I guess I should mention my second marriage. It was a mistake and didn't last a year. Been divorced almost 20 years. I still have a great relationship with my first wife though. In fact I live next door to her!

Best Wishes to all!!
