DEATH NOTICE / CLASSIFIED
Date: March 27, 2001

Brian L. Schoffman, 53, passed away March 24, 2001. He was born in Akron, and was a member of the First Congregational Church in Tallmadge.

He was preceded by his father, Lincoln J. Schoffman. He is survived his mother, Betty J. Schoffman of Tallmadge; sister, Joan (Dean) West from Virginia; brother, Dr. Burton D. (Cheryl) Schoffman from Brecksville; nieces, Stacey Schoffman, Kerry West and Amy West; and nephew, Kurt Schoffman.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating. Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church in Tallmadge or to the Salvation Army.

I visited Brian's grave in the Tallmadge Cemetery. He passed on 24 March 2001. I believe it was from a heart attack. He was 53 years old.

I was sorry to hear about Brian, He was one of the few guys who got more tackles in football than me. I watched him play and he was a great linebacker.
