David T. Lanum

Rev. David T. Lanum, 63, went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2011.

Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident, a graduate of Tallmadge High School and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Rev. Lanum attended Massillon Baptist College and served as pastor for 27 years of Mission Baptist Temple in Stow.

His life verse was, ``But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.' Isaiah 40:31 KJV

Preceded in death by his sisters, Patty Ward and Sandy Phillips and brother Andy Lanum; he is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 44 years, Joan; son, William Lanum; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angie Lanum; and granddaughters, Brittany and Abbigail.

Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. (REDMON, STOW, 330-688-6631)
