Biography for 20th Reunion

Today

David H. Hazelett, 58, of Sebring, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Akron, Ohio and had lived here for 19 years, coming from Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during Vietnam and earning the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He was a member of Living Waters Church of God in Sebring, serving as a deacon and chaplain of the men's ministry. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of Sebring and Highlands County Republicans Executive Committee.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Hazelett of Sebring; mother, Edith Hazelett of Akron, Ohio; step-son, Roman Peters of Sebring; four sisters, Kathy Sheppard of Lakeland, Fla., Vickie Dietz of Oregon, Ohio, Valerie Hall of Akron, Ohio, and Tina Kucinic of Kent, Ohio.

Visitation will be today, February 2, 2005, 6-8 p.m. at Fountain Funeral Home. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Living Waters Church of God with Pastor Darius Walden officiating.
