TodayI graduated from Kent State in 1970 with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology, In August of 1970 I was drafted into the Army and was trained as a medic. After leaving the Army in 1972 I worked as an engineer for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. while attending law school during the evenings at The University of Akron. My next employer was The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. working as a patent attorney. In 1990 I left northeast Ohio to work as a patent attorney for Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, Ohio where I was involved with the development of medical devices, baby formula and medical nutritional products. By 1996 I was getting tired of Ohio winters and accepted a position in Lakeland, Florida to establish a patent department for a company that is active in the development and manufacture of safety equipment for automobiles. My wife Marcia and I have six children and sixteen grandchildren. We reside in Plant City, Florida with our dog Sunny and two cats, Samantha and Katie. We enjoy spending weekends at our beach house in St. Pete Beach, but enjoy even more our visits to our children around the country and to Ohio to see my Mother in Tallmadge. |
